Philosophy: I love to hunt ducks. I have been hunting everything since
I was about ten,love it all, but now my real passion is ducks. I love all
the days in the marsh, good and bad(if you are a counter, for me
there are no bad days) I hunt for the magic, it doesn't happen very often:
those ducks that appear in your decoys out of nowhere, silent Canada Geese,
the perfect retrieve, lifting fog. Never let the weight of your bag determine
the quality of your hunt.

About Me: My name is Michael Sanders, i live in Stillwater Oklahoma.
Ive been
hunting all my life(i was born on the opening day of dove season i
dont think
my dad was to happy) i started hunting with my dad when i was 3 i just
followed him around and tryed to be quiet while helping our black
lab(rex
R.I.P.) retrieve whatever he was trying to find. I started hunting
with a gun
when i was 6 hunting small game with a 22 singleshot. Later i moved
on to a
410 for dove and quail. my dad died on september 8, 1992 5 days after
my
birthday i was devastated i spent several days setting infront of the
reloader loading 20 ga shells for my dad even though i knew no one
would ever
use them. I didnt hunt for several years. i started off hunting small
game
with my dads old ruger 10/22. then 3 years ago my grandfather took
me deer
hunting for the first time. now i am hunting all the time and whne
im not
hunting im shooting targets. this year for my birthday i got a mossberg
500
persuader 12 ga that got me really back into hunting i hunted dove
everyday
until season closed then i soo started on ducks i had never hunted
ducks
before and i didnt have decoys or anything(i still dont but im workin
on it)
i just jusmped ponds which worked quite well. two days before the closeing
day for geese i got a guy to come up with decoys and a dog for my first
goose
hunt it was great now im hooked.

their first hunts at 5. the wife only make one. (on a bet).
OCCUPATION: I have a small taxidermy co. and specialize in waterfowl.
I also run a waterfowl

I have a male chocolate lab named moose I found at the dog pound when
he was 1 year old. He was so grateful for being rescued he turned into
a pretty good dog. I have been known to throw just about any thing I could
find to help him on long retrieves. He usually will make at least one double
retrieve per hunt some times a triple.(2 ducks at one time). With the taxidermy
I get to mess with
ducks and geese all year!!!
